Coastal Vietnam Discovery

Nha Trang – Mui Ne – Vung Tau – Phu Quoc

A graceful voyage along Vietnam’s southern coast — coral bays, fishing villages, and elegant shore encounters.

A Voyage from Nha Trang to Phu Quoc Along Vietnam’s Southern Coast

Vietnam’s southern seaboard stretches for hundreds of miles, its jade bays and golden beaches backed by mountains, rivers, and fishing villages that still rise and sleep with the tide. Coastal Vietnam Discovery is a gentle, culture-rich passage linking Nha Trang’s coral lagoons with the islands and deltas of the Gulf of Thailand — an itinerary that blends calm coastal cruising with the country’s poetic rhythm of life by the sea. Each day brings another facet of the Vietnamese shoreline: quiet bays shaded by palms, bustling harbour markets, tranquil anchorages at sunset. Short sails, warm water, and excellent resort access make this the ideal voyage for families seeking adventure without leaving the comfort of the tropics.
Day 1 – Nha Trang Embarkation

Board your yacht at Ana Marina Nha Trang. After a welcome briefing, cruise across the bay to Hon Tre Island. Swim from the stern platform or relax on deck as the sun sets behind the mountains. Dinner features fresh sea bass with ginger and lime.

Day 2 – Hon Mun Marine Park

Dive or snorkel among brilliant coral gardens and colourful reef fish. Your biologist host explains local reef restoration projects. Afternoon kayak through protected coves; evening anchorage in quiet waters.

Day 3 – Cam Ranh Bay & Fishing Villages

Cruise south (≈25 nm) into Cam Ranh Bay. Go ashore to visit a traditional fish-sauce market and join locals for coffee on the quay. Return for a sunset sail past granite islands alive with seabirds.

Day 4 – Mui Ne Headland

Sail toward Mui Ne (≈40 nm). Visit its iconic red sand dunes and kite-surfing beach. Younger guests can slide the dunes while adults sample fresh seafood at a local stall. Evening barbecue on deck beneath lanterns.

Day 5 – Ke Ga Lighthouse & Island Coves

Anchor near Ke Ga Island to visit Vietnam’s oldest lighthouse, built by the French in 1899. Picnic lunch on a tiny sand islet; afternoon snorkel in clear shallow water.

Day 6 – Phan Thiet & Local Markets

Short sail to Phan Thiet. Wander its morning market with your chef to select ingredients for a cooking class aboard. Relax in the afternoon as the coastline drifts by.

Day 7 – Vung Tau & Cultural Excursion

Make a longer run (≈50 nm) to Vung Tau Peninsula. Go ashore to climb the Christ of Vung Tau statue for panoramic views of the South China Sea. Optional evening visit to a beachfront café for live music.

Day 8 – Can Gio Mangroves

Enter the delta waters of Can Gio Biosphere Reserve. Explore by tender through mangrove channels alive with birds and mudskippers. Dinner at anchor in perfect calm.

Day 9 – Ben Tre & Mekong Delta Villages

Navigate inland to Ben Tre Province. Visit a coconut farm and see how rice paper and candy are hand-made. A gentle bicycle ride through riverside lanes offers a glimpse of rural life.

Day 10 – Offshore Passage to Con Dao Islands

Sail overnight (≈70 nm) to Con Dao — a protected marine park renowned for pristine reefs and turtle nesting beaches. Morning snorkel followed by a guided island walk to old French colonial buildings.

Day 11 – Con Dao to Phu Quoc

Cross the Gulf of Thailand (≈50 nm) to Phu Quoc. Anchor off Sao Beach for swimming and paddleboarding. Farewell dinner on deck — a fusion of southern Vietnamese flavours and island produce.

Day 12 – Disembarkation at Phu Quoc

Breakfast on deck before transfer ashore to Duong Dong Harbour or Phu Quoc Airport for onward flights.
